My Thanksgiving note to God
Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to give thanks to you on this lovely Fall November day.
Honestly though, I’m really not sure where to start. You do so much for me that I’m literally blown away. The miracles I see daily are only mere reminders of your amazing glory. I’m breathing right now because you give me breath. I’m able to type this note only because you’ve generously given me hands that work and a mind that can form words together into sentences. Unfortunately though, I’m unable to arrive at any real words to describe my thanks to you. So I’ll use what I know for now.
Thank you for being so loving. For showing me how to really love not just my family and friends, but the people around me.
Thank you for being so just. You leave me with absolutely no doubt of your righteousness as the one true judge.
Thank you for being so merciful. Even when none of us really deserve it.
Thank you for being so powerful. I can’t even imagine anything as glorious as you.
Thank you for giving me light. Especially in places where only darkness once lived.
Thank you for showing grace. Even teaching me how to show it to others.
Thank you for your sovereignty. All the peace you give to your sons and daughters of faith.
Thank you for your Spirit. He leads me and I can only pray I will always follow.
Thank you for Jesus. The sinless man who gave up everything for us, so that we may be with you.
Lord, I thank you for seeking me out. For taking me in, even though I avoided you for so long. I’m grateful beyond words for your undenying presence in my life.
I want nothing more than to dwell in your presence forever and ever.
Your servant and son,
Jason
