What Does Church Mean To You?

Define what Church means to you.

An old friend of mine (Matt from Lakeland FL) who I’ve recently reconnected with posted this comment on FB. I thought the question was pretty thought provoking, but I honestly didn’t have to think on it much. Church is pretty real to me right now. I admit a year ago or so it was like torture just hearing the word “Church”. I think I found something that really fits my needs and our family. But remember, nothings perfect.

My answer is below.

“A place where you can be charged to serve others.
A place that gets you excited about being alive.
A place that helps you pursue your God given abilities and take them out to share & serve with others.
A place you can confess, forgive, praise, be inspired.
A place that hopefully makes you want to come back more than once a week.
A place that makes you talk about what you just heard with others.
A place that gives you passion for what you were put on Earth to do.
A place where you can feel God’s presence in the people, in the songs, in the sermon’s, in the parking lot, and even on the way home.
A place you can “home”.
(today’s a good day my friend, a good day)”
What’s your answer? Type the first thing that comes to your mind – don’t try too hard now.

I'm a guy who's suddenly been given super powers. I call it the Holy Spirit. I went from an unbeliever to a passion filled follower. My new belief is giving me strength I’d NEVER felt before and the Holy Spirit is changing me, from the inside out. I wake up every day now, ready to take on the world for Him, not for myself. Oh yeah, and I do make typos and grammar errors so forgive me.
